GrabFood မှ ပထမဦးဆုံးသော GrabKitchen ကို ရန်ကုန်မြို့တွင် စတင်စမ်းသပ်ဖွင့်လှစ်
GrabKitchen Grows the Business of F&B Businesses in Myanmar
Myanmar is the sixth Southeast Asian country where GrabFood has established GrabKitchen, with 50 other cloud kitchens in operation across Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. With the increasing reliance on food delivery today, cloud kitchens allow merchants to gain access to the Grab network, subsequently expanding their reach and growing their customer base. They can focus on what they do best – prepare and cook food, while GrabFood takes care of overall utilities management of the GrabKitchen facility, and marketing support within the Grab App.
The first GrabKitchen in Yangon is located at Super Container Park on Dahmma Darna Street, in Tamwe Township, Yangon. The facility will be operated from 10am to 10pm and expands GrabFood’s delivery areas to a further four townships in Yangon – Tamwe, Thingangyun, South Okkalapa and Mingalar Taung Nyunt.
The merchant-partners who have taken up spaces at the GrabKitchen and will be facilitating food orders during the upcoming holiday period are:
- Lotteria: Fried chicken bundles
- Titu’s Indian Bistro: Biryani dishes, Tikka dishes and Masala teas
- Ya Kun Kaya Toast: Chicken and rice sets
- Tea Live: Popular bubble teas and milk teas
- Heineken, Tiger, ABC and Bawdar: Thirst quenching beers
- Best Choice Kyae-Oh & BBQ: Hot and spicy pork ribs
- Mala Spice: Customised Mala Xiang Guo dishes
- Cozy Bar & Restaurant
For convenience, GrabFood customers can order from multiple GrabKitchen merchants in a single order and will get to enjoy free delivery from 10 April to 20 April 2020 when they spend a minimum of MMK 10,000 in a single transaction and use the promo code ‘GRABKITCHEN‘.
Food safety and COVID-19 precautionary measures will be implemented at the GrabKitchen, including temperature checks of merchant-partners and delivery-partners, usage of face masks, gloves, hand sanitizers and anti-bacterial wipes. Social distancing guidelines will also be in effect for GrabFood delivery pickups at the GrabKitchen, with delivery-partners seated several feet apart from each other while waiting for food orders to be prepared.
Commenting on the launch of Grab’s first cloud kitchen in Myanmar, Ko Myat Kaung Min, Head of GrabFood Myanmar, said, “We’re honoured to commence the pilot test of our first GrabKitchen in Yangon in partnership with many reputable merchant-partners who have chosen to expand together with us. Together with our merchant-partners, we hope to bridge cuisine demand and supply gaps, complement and expand the variety of food options at different price points in the area, and offer them conveniently to consumers through on-demand delivery.”
“In the future, our cloud kitchen concept will enable food businesses – from moms and pops, to small businesses and popular “local hero” chain brands, to build a food delivery business with low-risk and low-cost. GrabKitchen solves a chunk of pain points experienced by merchants when they look to set up new outlets or even their first business, including scouting for a within budget, time-consuming and costly renovations, marketing, and logistics. In addition, GrabKitchen offers merchant-partners an experimental platform to introduce new food concepts and brands with significantly reduced risks,” added Ko Myat Kaung Min.
